..but now I'm just pissed.
What kind of selfish asshole steals other people's art off of the wall at achool?? I mean we're in college now I thought we were past the sophmoric bullshit of stealing other peoples stuff. Apperently I'm thinking too highly of the student body at UWW however...
I spent half the art class today trying to smile and politely laugh it off as the art teacher droned on about how it was a compliment that someone stole my art from the wall and how it happens sometimes and it happened to him once and blah blah blah. As well as half the class whispering about how sorry they feel for me and how they would be devistated if it was one of their pieces.
I was thinking of printing up fliers with the original concept sketch for the piece asking whoever stole it to return it so I can give it to my mom like I was originally plannning... and you know... so I could get GRADED... but then again if you're the kind of person who steals something someone put alot of thought and hard work into are you really the kind of person who would return it out of guilt?
::hits self in head:: Why in the name of GOD did I not remember to scan that piece before turning it in?
... oh wait... it could be because I was up unil 4 am the day before it was due finishing it...

New idea: booby-trapped art wall. If anyone tries to remove a piece of artwork without putting a password into a specially-designed PIN-pad, iron spikes fire out of the walls, detaining (and probably killing) said thief in question.

Anyway, I am sorry that your piece is missing. Here's hoping stuff like this never happens again in the future.

You know in the place where your art work is missing you should put up a sign that says "Thanks for taking my artwork and stealing it bastard. Now not only do I not get to give it away as a gift but your sorry ass thinks it's cool to steal art. How freaking low can you get...if you can't draw TAKE ART."

That is ass, it really is. Has the instructor given you time to turn in something since it is obvious he is acknowledging you did do the work?

I hate to put a negative spin on it, but just because people are adults doesn't mean that they're any more considerate, intelligent or less childish. It just means they are better at hiding it. Case in point: we're doing a pilot this semester to trial anti-plagerism software on my campus because it is estimated that up to 60% of papers the average student turns in blatently steels from the internet. I mean, hell, at least once a week instructors are calling me because they want to make sure they're interpreting login information correctly on D2L because some student is lying about trying to take a quiz.

I'm sorry that someone had to be careless and selfish with direct consequence to you. Chances are that it wasn't personal, just fantastically dumbtarded.

ouch... that's craptacular.

Hope they find the person and string them up by their toenails!
